Jorge Bondoso, Member of the National Assembly of Sao Tome and Principe, shared his perspectives on environmental protection with SFC reporters, praising China's leadership in this domain. "I think China is the expert and leader in environmental protection," Bondoso remarked, drawing parallels between the lush greenery of his tropical homeland and the verdant landscapes he observed across China.

Reflecting on his extensive travels in China, Bondoso was particularly impressed by the cleanliness and environmental consciousness he encountered. "In China, wherever I go, I see green... I've been to many cities and I always ask how come there's no garbage on the roads? Because everything here is processed and utilized. Everything is recycled," he explained, highlighting the contrast between his observations and the negative portrayals often seen in Western media.

Bondoso also emphasized the growing cooperation between China and African countries in environmental protection, as well as economic and financial sectors. "Today, China and African countries are making joint efforts in building economic and financial bridges, and the bridge of environmental protection," he affirmed, lauding China as a "worthy champion" in global environmental efforts.
